Continuous Improvement Engineer
June 28We are currently recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Engineer for a client based in the Derbyshire area.

The role of CI Engineer is to ultimately focus on process improvements across the two plants, ensuring correct application of our toolset (VSM, Lean and 6 sigma principles, OEE, 6S, Kaizen, SMED, TPM, etc). Assist the Operation Managers and their teams in developing and delivering their annual C.I. program. Leading business improvement performance and delivery of work stream activity. Ensuring C.I. targets are met and improvements in KPI’s (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost) are delivered. Working collaboratively with C.I. teams by focusing on performance to achieve high standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement whilst working safely.

- A degree or equivalent in Engineering, Science or Mathematical related subjects
- Green or Black Belt qualified & demonstrable experience of 6 sigma, Lean, TPM, OEE & CI Tools
- Ability to exercise considerable initiative/judgement in work methods
- Works independently with minimal supervision and to a high standard
- Ability to lead by example, gain respect from team and communicate with clarity whilst demonstrating excellence in approach to work and people activities
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organisational and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage a wide variety of activities and deliver at the same time
- Organised, structured and methodical approach to projects – plan analyse and challenge
- Proactive and collaborative with ‘hands-on’ approach and a passion for Continuous Improvement
