Contract Chemical Engineer

August 15
Handley James Chemical is urgently seeking to recruit an experienced Chemical Engineer for a global client of ours specialising in distillation and blends. The role is a contract position on a 3-6 month contract, due to huge investment in the Loughborough site.   The scope of the project is to relocate manufacturing processes from one facility to another within the same site, allowing production to continue throughout the facilities.   The successful individual will be comfortable with;
  • Being handed a number of processes to move and to determine how/where this may happen
  • Identify, tender and procure equipment needed for the move
  • Be happy to write and run the validation process, along with the new BPIs (operator instructions), then train out
  The site is a lower tier COMAH, 99% of the business is around high level solvents and they are used to support other business functions.   The ideal candidate will be a degree educated Chemical Engineer in a relevant discipline i.e. chemical engineer, chemistry etc. You will have strong process engineering capabilities and experience within a similar industry. You will be comfortable leading projects and able to take control and make decisive decisions in order to achieve the project goals in a timely fashion. You will ideally have experience within blends, distillation, solvents etc. and have the ability to work actively on a project whilst production continues.   In return our client is paying a competitive day rate and is keen to start asap.   If interested please contact Stuart Tomkinson directly or click the link provided.
