We have been retained by a Northwest manufacturer of construction products to recruit a Commercially focussed General Manager. Part of a Global organisation, our client is currently looking for a General Manager to support with the growth strategy across the UK and Ireland. This role is to focus on driving improvements across the business strategically and from a sales and marketing perspective to give them a strong foundation for future growth.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Driving and improving business performance to meet strategic and financial goals
- Providing overall leadership across all functions
- Establishing, monitoring, and improving core KPIs
- Providing a strong commercial focus for the business
- Establishing and driving the marketing strategy from grass roots
- Creating a product management plan to allow for a consistent and strategic approach to NPI/NPD in line with the sales strategy for the business
- Establishing and growing the brand
Currently a commercially focussed General Manager within a manufacturer, you will have strong sales and marketing background. You will have experience in a manufacturer of construction products and will have an established network of distributors. You will have ideally established or driven growth through branding and brand awareness and will be well versed in aligning the sales and marketing strategy within a manufacturer. Knowledge and exposure to strategically managing operations is desirable. You will be a modern thinker, proactive and innovative.
As an expanding organisation and one that is extremely entrepreneurial, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary and package of between £85,000 and £95,000 plus car, pension, bonus etc. You will have the opportunity for future growth in the business alongside the expansion that you support.
