Handley James have been retained by a well-established manufacturer of bespoke products based in Cheshire. As a result of expansion, growth and continued development they have retained our services to source a Head of Manufacturing to join the business and work collaboratively with the Management team to support the expansion of the business from a manufacturing and operations perspective.
Reporting to a board level Director, you will be responsible for the following:
- Planning production and achieving plan adherence
- Driving and improving operational performance to meet strategic and financial goals
- Providing overall leadership across Production, Planning, Maintenance and HSE
- Establishing, monitoring, and improving core KPIs
- Improving the overall efficiencies of the business, with a focus on OTIF and OEE
- In developing and mentoring core team members
Currently an Operations Manager or Manufacturing Manager within a fast paced manufacturer, you will be experienced in driving improvements through an organisation. Ideally, you will have gained experience within an SME. You will be proven in improving OTIF and OEE specifically and will have achieved this through employee engagement and development. Experienced in production planning and achieving that plan is key. You will be open, honest and transparent in terms of your core behaviours and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
As an expanding organisation and one that is extremely entrepreneurial, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary and package of between £70,000 and £80,000 pension, healthcare and bonus.
