Handley James have been retained by a well-established manufacturer of specialist products based in Halifax. Our client have retained our services to source a Head of Manufacturing to join the business and work collaboratively with the Management team to support the improvement of the business from a manufacturing and operations perspective.   Reporting to a board level Director, you will be responsible for the following:  
  • Creating a ‘one-team’ culture
  • Driving and improving operational performance to meet strategic and financial goals
  • Providing overall leadership across Production, Planning, Maintenance and HSE
  • Establishing, monitoring, and improving core KPIs
  • Improving the overall efficiencies of the business, with a focus on OTIF and Quality
  • In developing and mentoring core team members
  Currently an Operations Manager or Manufacturing Manager within an SME manufacturer, you will be experienced in driving improvements through an organisation. You will be proven in improving OTIF and Quality specifically and will have achieved this through employee engagement and development. Experienced in lean manufacturing, change management and sustaining those changes is key. You will be open, honest and transparent in terms of your core behaviours and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.   As a well-established and well reputed business, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary and package.
