Head of Operations

We have been retained by an ecommerce business based in the North Yorkshire area to source a Head of Operations to head up their Supply Chain operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who really wants to continue to develop their career to the next level with a well-established and rapidly growing business.   Heading up a multi-disciplined Supply Chain team you will take responsibility for product flow from 3^rd party manufacturers/suppliers, through 3PW/3PL providers and directly to the customers.   Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take responsibility for:  

• Developing an operational supply chain strategy that supports a focus on OTIF and Quality.
• Ensuring that new products are introduced, manufactured and supplied online in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure that supplier relationships are managed in collaboration with other departments
• Working with far east suppliers
• Managing several 3PW internationally
• Development of the Operations team through coaching and mentoring
• Plan, coordinate and monitor the supply chain process from suppliers to customer
• Identify and lead areas of improvement across the supply chain operation

  Currently an Operations or Supply Chain professional, you will be experienced in working in a fast-paced retail or ecommerce business. You will be experienced in the full end-to-end supply chain with experience of planning, demand, materials and 3^rd party manufacturing arrangements in the far east. You will be an excellent relationship builder and a highly effective leader. You will be numerate and analytical and be proven in working in a structured yet collaborative way.   This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join an established, secure and rapidly growing business.
