Handley James Chemical are excited to be partnered with a global, £Multi-Billion turnover, chemical manufacturing business, with innovative and industry led solutions, specialising in Advanced Materials with a multitude of applications. With sites all over the world they are true market leaders in their field.   We are recruiting for their site in Redcar and are looking for an experienced Instrument and Electrical Engineer. You will be responsible for all aspects of Engineering across the site related to the I&E discipline, including; corporate/legislative compliance, design, reliability improvements, plant upgrades and troubleshooting.   Your main responsibilities will include:  
  • Update and uphold local procedures related to subject area, ensuring regulatory and corporate compliance is achieved.
  • Identify safety, reliability and optimisation improvements across site and develop into workable solutions for approval.
  • Support all aspects of projects from specification to design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Provide input to root cause problem solving teams and lead incident investigations related to subject area.
  • Carry out technical training for personnel at all levels within the organisation as required.
  • Resolve technical queries and provide support to the production and maintenance teams.
  • Work with the shutdown / turnaround team, ensuring scopes of work and specifications are available in good time to allow planning to commence.
    Currently in a similar I&E role, you will have a degree in the relevant discipline and ideally have experience within a similar chemical or process environment. You will have a strong ability to influence and effectively lead teams. You will be a logical and analytical individual with a strong problem-solving mentality.   This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to add real value to the engineering function on site.   This role is a days role Monday – Friday.   In return my client is offering a basic salary of £40,000 - £50,000pa, bonus and benefits.   If this role is of interest please click the link to apply or contact Stuart Tomkinson directly.
