They are committed to minimising their footprint so that the vital products they give to the world are produced in a safe, responsible, resource-sensitive and environmentally-considerate way.   We are currently recruiting Process Engineer who will ultimately focus on supporting the corporate engineering team in the development and initial scoping of new design within manufacturing plants, technology transfers, plant modifications etc.   Key Responsibilities  
  • Development and initial scoping. including, design of new ‘fit for purpose’ manufacturing plants, initial definition of requirement, PFD development and ‘high level’ capital proposals
  • Development and initial scoping of technology transfers within the organization, including initial definition of requirements, plant fits and costings including;
    • PFD development
    • P&ID development
    • Capital proposals
  • Delivering plant modifications and capital expansion projects as required in conjunction with the local site engineering teams
  • Continuously improving the design and build of new plant extensions in terms of value for money and cost control, complete on time, being fit for purpose, reliability, safety and operability
  • Project management of process plant and facility builds from conception to commissioning
  • Identifying and delivering process improvement opportunities through plant and process modifications on an on-going and continuous basis
  • Supporting corporate SHE in implementing high standards of process safety
  Key Requirements  
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer Status (Or working towards)
  • Experience within fine and specialty chemicals or similar environment
  • Experience working within a high hazardous environment (COMAH regulated)
  • Knowledge of working with new and used equipment suppliers and plant build specialists
  • Proven experience on a chemical plant both from an office and on plant perspective, comfortable handling detail
  • Ideally have experience designing, building and commissioning manufacturing plants
  • Flexibility to travel to other sites and facilities as and when required
  The role is working Monday-Friday with a flexible approach to start/finish (Core hours are 1000-1500), with 1 day working from home depending on requirements.   In return my client is offering a competitive salary and benefits package including, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 5% pension contribution (Climbing to 15% following successful probation), private healthcare, performance bonus, death in service (6x Salary).   If the role is of interest please contact Stuart Tomkinson or click the link below.
