Senior Quality Engineer

HJC have been retained by a specialist manufacturer of specialist products to source a Senior Quality Engineer for their site in Blackpool. They are looking to recruit this individual to support the change management programme that is being driven through the site at this point in time. This role will report to the Managing Director and will be responsible for implementing and sustaining an approach to Quality that permeates every function of the organisation. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Utilise and encourage the use of quality improvement tools (8D, 5 Why…) across the business
• Customer quality.
• Ensure control with the QMS is maintained
• Improvement of processes and systems
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a structure approach to quality is executed and sustained
• Mentor, develop and coach the Quality inspection team

An experienced Quality Engineer within an engineering biased manufacturer, you will be engaging, passionate and able to influence. You will be proven in implementing change, whilst being collaborative and working cross functionally with others to achieve a goal. There will be challenges along this continuous improvement journey so it is vital that you are pragmatic, positive and have a can do attitude. Experience in a mechanical engineered manufacturing business would be a distinct advantage.
