They are committed to minimising their footprint so that the vital products they give to the world are produced in a safe, responsible, resource-sensitive and environmentally-considerate way.   We are currently recruiting Site Projects Engineer, reporting to the Site Process and Projects Manager you will actively supports Process and workplace SHE and the successful completion of site projects.   Key Responsibilities  
  • Actively support the promotion of, and engage in, process and workplace SHE, especially the major accident hazards (COMAH) and basis of safety areas.
  • Responsible for project contract personnel both on site and in pre-planning stages to ensure successful completion of projects
  • Project Team Lead Engineer on Process Engineering design process from concept to commissioning
  • Responsible for Project Engineering including scope definition, cost estimation and input into project plans and subsequent cost control
  • Responsible for supporting and delivering process improvement opportunities through plant modifications
  • Support line management in the development and upkeep of plant and safety systems, in particular operating procedures and ELDs as a deliverable on new projects
  • Significant input into development and delivery of the site’s Capex program
  Key Requirements  
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer Status (Or working towards)
  • Awareness of all relevant legislation including; COMAH, ATEX, SIL, PSSR, LOLA, PUWER and appropriate HSE guidance
  • High Hazard awareness and experience in Safety and Environmental Management Systems
  • Proven experience in chemical plant process engineering both from an office and on the plant, comfortable with handling detail
  • Practical, can do approach coupled with strong technical knowledge. Knowledge and experience in Plant Automation (DCS, PLCs, P&ID Controllers) advantageous
  The role is working Monday-Friday with a flexible approach to start/finish (Core hours are 1000-1500), with 1 day working from home depending on requirements.   In return my client is offering a competitive salary and benefits package including, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 5% pension contribution (Climbing to 15% following successful probation), private healthcare, performance bonus, death in service (6x Salary).   If the role is of interest please contact Stuart Tomkinson or click the link below.
