Research and Development Chemist

They are a growing business with an amazing culture, one where you are encouraged to bring new and exciting ideas to the table, a company where you can truly see your work shape and direct the business as they continue to grow.   Our client is looking to recruit an experienced R&D Chemist, someone who his technically bias and has a passion for identifying and developing new products to further the business’s industrial applications.   The successful individual will focus on the implementation and management of new product development and quality systems. The role will also involve technical support for the Sales and Marketing teams, ensuring continual product development and support to customers.   You will be instrumental in implementing and managing new product development and quality system projects, as well as creating, testing and validating product enhancements and additional functional product requirements.   Essential Criteria  

• Degree in Chemistry or related scientific subject
• Significant laboratory experience within a similar role
• Ideally you will have experience in cementitious or wider construction chemicals (Advantageous)
• Demonstrable knowledge of the market with a keenness to identify opportunities
• Strong analytical skills as well as exceptional communication skills
• Proven experience managing technical projects and working with cross functional teams
• Excellent project management, time management and prioritising skills

  This role will suit an individual who not only has the above experiences/qualifications but someone who is a true problem solver, a person who sees the value in not only the technical aspect of such a role but also has some commercial acumen.
