Fabrication Supervisor

We have been retained by a manufacturer in Knowsley to source a Production Supervisor to head up a small but busy fabrication and welding department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to add value to a well-established and growing business and who wants to progress their career further. This is a pivotal role for our client and is viewed as a key appointment in the business. Reporting to the Production Manager and with a team of 8-10 direct reports, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the team and ensuring that product is being progressed through the department in line with the daily schedule.
• Drive process adherence,
• Look at and establish an improvement plan.
• Reduce unnecessary bottlenecks across the function.
• Work with other, departmental, leaders on the overall operational plan.

  Currently a Production team leader or supervisor, you will be experienced in fabrication and or welding and will have led a small team. Ideally you will be apprentice trained and will have then gained some experience in a hands-on leadership capacity. You will, ideally, be looking to progress your career further.
