Recruitment and the Amazon Effect

We have now been established a year and we are going into year 2 full of drive and ambition for growth. We have learned a great deal in year 1 and we now want to build on that foundation to really expand the HJC brand. Something that we have realised is that clients and candidates are both looking for the same things…a pleasant experience, a quality service. In this day and age, in any profession, the absolute key to success is to do your job or provide your service to the highest standard and in a mutually acceptable time frame. That is the expectation of everyone now. In the day of ‘one-click’ purchasing, the amazon effect has infiltrated every aspect of business and we, as recruiters, need to adapt to that…quickly. This is one thing that we have really built upon in the last 12 months. The reviews, feedback and testimonials we have received have been fantastic with a real focus on our “granular effect” to recruitment (as one client described it to me). We have been able to expedite our assignments quicker due to the fact that we focus purely on the quality of the work we are providing to the client and candidate alike and the fact that if we need to meet potential applicants or clients on a Saturday or Sunday, we can and we will. This very small service offering reaps such great rewards and means that all clients and candidates feel they are a HJC priority…and that’s because they are. In 2017 it is going to be about providing a ‘premier service’ and not just saying that’s what you are going to do but really doing it, really delivering, really focussing on what a client and candidate wants and hitting…no…exceeding that expectation! 2017 is going to an interesting year for us all in….especially us at HJC HQ…here’s to another year!!
