Maintenance Manager

Handley James have been retained by a key client of ours, to source an experienced engineering professional with a mechanical bias, to fill a Maintenance Manager position.   Our client is an industry leading expert, part of a £multimillion, global business with sites worldwide. You will lead a team of engineers to maintain and optimise all processing equipment and the effluent plant to support ongoing operations.   The role is based at their site in Bradford and will be based here Monday – Friday working days.   Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all maintenance and servicing aspects relating to site are efficiently undertaken to support operations
  • Ensure all works carried out adhere to the safe working system using PTW
  • Manage service contracts and contractors visiting site
  • Guide and train the maintenance team members on maintenance and repair work
  • Developing and implementing the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) systems
  • Forecast and manage the maintenance budget
  Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience within a mechanically bias engineering role, ideally within supervisory or leadership experience
  • HND/Apprenticeship or Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Experience within a manufacturing/industrial environment ideally with semi/fully automation
  • Proficient in Microsoft IT programs and an understanding of HMI and PLC controllers
  • Proven experience improving and optimising maintenance processes and PPM
  We are looking for a proactive, organised individual who is looking to take the next step towards managing and leading their own team – whilst supervisory experience is ideal it is not essential for this role.
