As a result of this they are now looking to recruit a Procurement Officer to strengthen the purchasing department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is proven and now looking to progress and develop their career further. This role will report to the Purchasing manager and will be responsible for:
  • Liaise with suppliers on a daily basis to order and expedite raw materials in line with the production schedule.
  • Work cross functionally with Production and Materials to achieve a lean supply chain flow.
  • Managing direct spend for key materials and parts.
  • Sourcing and negotiation with new and existing suppliers.
  • Managing suppliers with fluctuating demand and varying lead times
  • Ensuring no stock outs on key materials.
  • Working with bills of materials.
  • Working with MRP/ERP Systems.
  Currently in a Procurement Officer, Buyer, or procurement specialist within a manufacturer, you will be experienced in working collaboratively and cross functionally. You will be proven in supplier liaison, building effective relationships and being proactive in terms of controlled material supply. You will be highly self-motivated, looking to progress your career and have a high work ethic.
