Production Manager

We have been retained by a specialist manufacturing company based in the Manchester area to source a Business Unit Manager to head up one of their manufacturing site’s and to improve their current operation. This organisation is in the process of establishing itself as a leader in its field. A fantastic opportunity to help to implement and drive improvements across a growing SME Manufacturer. Heading up a multi-disciplined team you will be responsible for developing the operational strategy that will support the growth of the business. You will be responsible for:

• Establishing and delivering on an operational strategy that will support the incremental growth of the business, in line with their 5-year plan
• Developing high performing teams who are aligned, and improvement led
• Ensuring that the Plan is achieved to ensure the monthly budget is achieved and growth is sustained
• Ensure that the core KPIs are embedded and delivered upon (SQCDP)

Currently a Senior Production Manager, Business Unit Manager or Operations Manager, you will be experienced in working in a bespoke manufacturing environment. You will have experience of improving production processes, you will be improvement driven and with a strong coaching and leadership style. Analytical, engaging, proactive and driven will all be part of your behavioural profile. It is important that you are a hands-on leader, one who leads by example and operates in a collaborative way. Ideally you will have set operational strategies in line with expansion and growth.
