Regional Sales Manager – South

Handley James have been retained by a key client of ours, to source an experienced Sales Manager to lead a successful Field Sales Team covering the South of the UK   Our client is an industry leading expert, part of a £multimillion, global business with sites worldwide. You will lead and support the remote sales team in their day-to-day activities, support in client meeting and provide ongoing coaching. You will report to the Sales Director and have input in strategy for the fast-track team, budgets and growth of your region and team.   This role will cover the South of the UK, the successful candidate will live in their region, i.e. Birmingham to Milton Keynes.   Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Management
  • Leading the sales team to achieve targets
  • Sales operations in accordance with the Sales management handbook
  • Annual planning according to the company targets
  • Action planning according to the targets
  • Allocating and managing of the sales according to the business concept/model
  • Follow-up and analysis of the results
  • Cost control
  Organisational responsibilities
  • Recruiting new people and orientation
  • Training and coaching salespeople
  • Career development of salespeople
  • Implementation of the Personnel Policy
  • Implementation of the Company Values, Mission, Vision and Strategy
  Candidate Requirements
  • Proven success leading a team within a sales environment (Essential)
  • Ideally have experience within a service/contract sales business
  • Delegates work appropriately and fairly
  • Motivates and empowers others
  • Makes prompt, clear decisions which may involve tough choices or considered risks
  • Takes responsibility for actions, projects and people
  • Takes initiative and acts with confidence
