Senior Buyer

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of bespoke engineered products. As a result of expansion, growth, and continued development they have retained our services to source a Buyer or Senior Buyer to join the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Buyer or Senior Buyer who is looking to progress and develop their career further within a well-established organisation that is expanding and investing heavily in growth.   This role will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for:  

• Establish a partnership relationship with a group of suppliers across a number of key commodities
• Liaise with suppliers on a daily basis to order and expedite raw materials in line with the production schedule
• Creating standard procedures and processes from grass roots
• Look at supplier rationalisation and cost reduction projects
• Work cross functionally with Production and Materials to achieve a lean supply chain flow
• Analyse the spend and negotiate on terms to achieve the best overall supply chain cost

  Currently in a Buyer or Senior Buyer role within a manufacturer, you will be experienced in working collaboratively and cross functionally. You will be proven in supplier liaison, building effective relationships and being proactive in terms of controlled material supply. You will be highly self-motivated, looking to progress your career and have a high work ethic.   This is an excellent opportunity to join a well reputed company really make a difference to this manufacturer.
