Handley James are currently working with a specialist manufacturer and installer of capital equipment. This organisation has a fantastic reputation and is currently experiencing a growth trajectory with an extremely strong order book. As a result of this they are now looking to recruit a Project Office Manager (PMO). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is proven and now looking to progress and develop their career further. As a Project Office Manager (PMO), you will take full responsibility for leading the projects team, from order handover through to final instillation and client handover. You will be responsible for:
  • Managing a team of Project Engineers and Managers.
  • Managing a PMO that handles multiple projects ranging from £100k to circa £10 Million.
  • Manage a project management office from order to final handover.
  • Liaising with functions including Sales, Design, Production, Engineering, Purchasing and Installation.
  • Introducing and implementing departmental processes and systems
  • Identifying and mapping out milestones
  • Controlling budgets and cost
  • Monitoring and reporting progress internally and with customers
  Currently a Project Manager or Project Office Manager, you will have the experience and ability to mentor and implementing process and system improvements. Have experience leading a multi-disciplined team, an understanding of waterfall project management would be advantageous. You will be a self-starter and have a very hands-on approach from a key person who will help build the department and the processes within it. You will be familiar with building and developing internal and external relationships and be an advocate for both the company and the customer.
