We have been retained by an FMCG business based in Manchester to source an Operations Director to head up their Supply Chain operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who really wants to continue to develop their career to the next level with a well-established and growing Food business.   Heading up a multi-disciplined Supply Chain team you will take responsibility for product flow from internal and 3rd manufacturers, through 3PL providers and directly to the retailers.   Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take responsibility for:  
  • Developing an operational supply chain strategy that supports a focus on OTIF and RFT
  • Ensuring that new brands are brought online in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure that supplier relationships are managed in collaboration with other departments
  • Development of the Operations team through coaching and mentoring
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor the supply chain process from suppliers and distributors to stores
  • Identify and lead areas of improvement across the supply chain operation
  Currently a Supply Chain professional, you will be experienced in working in a fast paced, Food business, ideally a manufacturer. You will be experienced in the full end to end supply chain with experience of planning, demand, materials and 3rd party or contract manufacturing arrangements. You will be well versed in S&OP and will be proven in establishing and sustaining an effective S&OP model. You will be an excellent relationship builder and a highly effective leader. You will be numerate and analytical and be proven in working in a structured yet collaborative way.   This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join an established, secure and growing Food business.
