Supply Chain Director

We have been retained by an FMCG business based in Manchester to source an Operations Director to head up their Supply Chain operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who really wants to continue to develop their career to the next level with a well-established and growing Food business.   Heading up a multi-disciplined Supply Chain team you will take responsibility for product flow from internal and 3^rd manufacturers, through 3PL providers and directly to the retailers.   Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take responsibility for:  

• Developing an operational supply chain strategy that supports a focus on OTIF and RFT
• Ensuring that new brands are brought online in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure that supplier relationships are managed in collaboration with other departments
• Development of the Operations team through coaching and mentoring
• Plan, coordinate and monitor the supply chain process from suppliers and distributors to stores
• Identify and lead areas of improvement across the supply chain operation

  Currently a Supply Chain professional, you will be experienced in working in a fast paced, Food business, ideally a manufacturer. You will be experienced in the full end to end supply chain with experience of planning, demand, materials and 3^rd party or contract manufacturing arrangements. You will be well versed in S&OP and will be proven in establishing and sustaining an effective S&OP model. You will be an excellent relationship builder and a highly effective leader. You will be numerate and analytical and be proven in working in a structured yet collaborative way.   This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join an established, secure and growing Food business.
