Warehouse Manager

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of products that are supplied into the home and furnishings sector. As a result of expansion, growth and continued development they have retained our services to source a Warehouse and Transport Manager to join the business and work collaboratively with the senior management team to introduce and embed proactive processes across their warehouse function.   This role will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for managing the warehouse and transport functions from goods-in to despatch & delivery to customer.   Role Responsibilities:  

• To ensure the team works cross functionally with materials and operations
• Manage the goods in operation to ensure that goods are received, booked in and located correctly
• Manage material flow from the warehouse to production
• Introduce lean material flow process (i.e. KANBAN)
• Ensure that the drivers are fully informed of daily and weekly requirements
• Manage delivery to customer
• Work closely with Materials in order to ensure raw materials are delivered in line with the production plan
• Develop, coach and mentor the team

  An experienced Warehouse Supervisor or Manager within a manufacturing environment, you will be engaging, passionate and able to influence. You will be proven in implementing and managing change as well as a strong and collaborative leader who works cross functionally and with others to achieve a goal. There will be challenges along this journey so it is vital that you are pragmatic, positive and have a can do attitude. You will be experienced in implementing lean/CI tools across a warehouse function and will be proven in sustaining these changes.   This is an excellent opportunity to join a well reputed company and really make a difference to this manufacturer.
